High-performance Embedded Workshop V.4.05.00 or later became to be terminated abnormally at the start of it. What is the work-around for this?

There is a possibility that the High-performance Embedded Workshop was terminated abnormally due to the occurrence of inconsistency in registry information of help-system-file by installing or uninstalling the applications except the High-performance Embedded Workshop.

How to confirm registry information of help-system-file

  1. Download compressed file of checker ""
  2. Uncompress the downloaded compressed file and save the Script file "CheckDllsForChm.vbs" at arbitrary location. The following message will appear by double clicking the "CheckDllsForChm.vbs".
    • The message of inconsistency in registry information
      ITSS.dll is registered in your system as "C:\xxx\xxx\xxx\ITSS.dll".
      But ITSS.dll does not actually exist in the folder.
    • The message of normal registry information
      Two DLLs nessesary to display HtmlHelp(*.chm) are successfully installed on your system.

Take the following steps, if the message of inconsistency in registry information is appeared.

  • Execute following command from the Windows start menu "Run…" (figure. 1).
    For Windows(R) XP / Vista(R) :
    regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\hhctrl.ocx
    regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\itss.dll
    For Windows(R) 2000:
    regsvr32 C:\winNT\system32\hhctrl.ocx
    regsvr32 C:\winNT\system32\itss.dll

The other causes could be considered, if the message of normal registry information is appeared. In that case, contact the contact center with following information.
