Difference of access time for read/write access differ of RAM0 & RAM1?

Latest Updated:12/19/2013

Question:

I have a product that divides RAM into RAM0 and RAM1.
Does the access time for read/write access differ between RAM0 and RAM1?
If so, what is the difference, and which is recommended?

Answer:

The only difference between RAM0 and RAM1 is whether power can be supplied in deep software standby mode.
Read/write access time is the same for both: one cycle.

For RAM0, whether or not power is supplied in deep software standby mode is selectable. For RAM1, power cannot be supplied in deep software standby mode.
For details, see the RAM chapter in the user's manual: hardware.

If you are not using deep software standby mode, there is no difference whether you use RAM0 or RAM1. If you are using deep software standby mode and want to retain data in RAM, use RAM0.
