Latest Updated:09/01/2007

Do products of Renesas Electronics contain any JEDEC Level A restricted substances?

The following groups have established the JIG-101 joint standard for substances that are regulated and/or are of significant environmental, health, or safety interest.

  • JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council)
  • EIA (Electronic Industries Alliance)
  • JGPSSI (Japan Green Procurement Survey Standardization Initiative)

Of the 15 JIG-101 Level A substances, only one is contained in semiconductor products of Renesas Electronics. It is lead, which is contained in some semiconductor products.
Lead-free products of Renesas Electronics use no lead, except for applications specifically exempted by the European RoHS directives.
