Using reserved words for SFRs with the assembler (CC-RL)

Last Updated:05/10/2017

Question:

I am using the CC-RL compiler for RL78 devices. I include the file iodefine.h in files of C source code that require access to SFRs. Is there an equivalent file for inclusion for access to SFRs from assembler code?

Answer:

There is no file corresponding to iodefine.h for assembly language in CC-RL. The reserved words for SFRs can be used as they are, since the assembler of CC-RL reads the device information file.

Note that iodefine.h cannot be used with files of assembler code since it is written in the C language.
