On-chip Debugging Emulator for RX Occupies MCU ROM and RAM

Question:

Is the ROM and RAM area of the MCU occupied when the on-chip debugging emulator for RX is used?

Answer:

The on-chip debugging emulator for RX does not use the ROM. The on-chip debugging emulator for RX uses the area of the RAM that was specified in the configuration of the debugger as a work RAM area.
Although even user programs can use this area because the contents of the memory are saved and restored, the area allocated to the work RAM cannot be used for the following purposes:
- Transfer source and destination of the DMA or DTC function
- DTC vector table and transfer information allocation address
- Interrupt vector of the DMAC or DTC activation source
