What are the short direct addressing area for RL78 family of MCU?

Latest Updated:12/20/2013

When the library for the RL78 family of MCUs is used, are user programs able to use the short direct addressing area (including 0xFFE20 to 0xFFEFF)?

When the library functions are executed, the user data from the short direct addressing area are preserved. Thus, the user data will not be destroyed.
Accordingly, there are no specific limitations on user programs using the short direct addressing area.
There is placement limitation that some resources (such as the stack, data buffer and arguments for the library functions) used in the execution of library functions can not place in the area between 0xFFE20 and 0xFFEFF, but there is no limitation on how the user program uses this area.
