Can I search in encrypted source in SSP?

Latest Updated:02/06/2017

Question:

Can I search in encrypted source in SSP?

Answer:

Yes, you can search for text items in encrypted source in SSP, with some limitations. You can only search for items that are in the CDT index. The CDT index includes things like return codes, function names, variable names, etc. It will not work for comment text, since that isn't included in the index.

Try this-
1. Create a Synergy project
2. Add encrypted source
3. Find some text in the encrypted source you which to search for
4. Click Search/”C/C++…”
5. Type in the text you want to search for. You can’t copy from encrypted source so you have to type it in.

You can also do this from the editor view by:
1. Select the text you want to search for
2. Right-click on the selection and choose References >> Project
